Privacy Policy
mosee is built privacy-first: EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant, no ads, and we never sell your data. This page explains what we collect and why.
Who we are
The data controller for mosee is [Controller legal name], [registered address]. For any privacy question, contact privacy@mosee.app.
What we collect
- Account — your email address (or an anonymous account) and the sign-up date. Browsing the map needs no account.
- Contributions — the rest stops you add, your “still there / gone” verifications, photos and reports. These are public by design.
- Approximate location — used only on-device to centre the map on “near me”. Coverage-gap signals are rounded to ~110 m and carry no link to you.
- Push token — if you enable notifications, so we can send the alerts you asked for.
Launch waitlist
If you sign up on our home page to be notified at launch, we store your email address (in the EU) for one purpose: to email you once, when mosee launches. We don’t use it for anything else and we don’t share it. Ask us to remove you at any time at privacy@mosee.app.
Legal basis
We process account and contribution data to provide the service (contract), location and notifications with your consent, and basic security logging on our legitimate interest.
Where your data lives
Data is stored in the EU (Supabase, [EU region]). Email is sent via Resend (EU region). Map data comes from OpenStreetMap. We do not sell your data or use advertising trackers.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from the app, or by emailing privacy@mosee.app. Deleting your account anonymises your public contributions (they stay on the map, un-attributed) and removes your personal data.
Retention
We keep account data until you delete your account. Anonymised, aggregate coverage signals may be kept to advocate for better public amenities.
Changes
We’ll update this page as mosee grows and note the date of the last change here.
